Lorraine J. Smith is a Mental Health Therapist, Developmental Disability Specialist, and CEO of Solutions For U. Recognized for her dedication, achievements, and transformational leadership in social services, Lorraine partners with local and international organizations to equip and empower individuals to live quality lives. Smith was recently appointed the Georgia State Representative for the Jamaica Diaspora Council for the Southern U.S.A., is an Adjunct Lecturer at the Caribbean Graduate School of Theology in Jamaica, volunteers with the Jamaican Embassy in Washington DC, and provides early childhood education, counseling, and mental health support to the community-at-large.
Through Solutions For U, Lorraine Smith supports individuals with a range of services for people across the spectrum of developmental and behavioral disabilities—including autism, mental health disorders, learning disabilities, and developmental disabilities—equipping them with health, social, and educational resources, and support so they can thrive. Lorraine Smith is also the author of “Through The Tears, I Rise,” a memoir that helps the reader unlock the secrets of survival through the lens of her own life.
